LESSONS
Music lasts a lifetime. Whatever your skill level or age, you can always learn something new. Over twenty instructors offer music lessons at the Island Music Center, with well equiped studios and ample parking. There is homework space, wi-fi and a cafe (coming soon!) for those who may be waiting.

Where to find them - Studio Allocations
Instruction at the Center is offered for the following instruments:
- Piano
- Voice
- Guitar (acoustic, electric and bass in styles from classical to rock)
- Strings (Violin, Viola, Cello)
- Fiddle
- Woodwinds (Flute, Clarinet and Saxophone)
- Brass (Trumpet, French Horn and Trombone)
- Percussion
- Harp
- Mandolin
Tuition
Tuition is $125 per month for 4 x 30 minute lessons. A 5% discount is
offered for the second and subsequent students from the same family
(with the same instructor).
Student Recitals
Performing is central to the IMC music education experience. Open to
family and friends, student recitals are held throughout the year to
spotlight accomplishments and progress. Each instructor holds one or two
student recitals per year. In addition, IMC offers all students the
opportunity to perform in the “Maverick Open Recital Series”, held on
the 3rd *Sunday afternoon of each month. The Maverick Recitals provide a
regular opportunity for students of various instruments to share the
stage with others, performing either solo or in ensembles. *Exact dates
for recitals will appear on the Event Calendar.
Scholarships
Scholarships may be available for guitar, voice, and piano please call
for information.
Registration
Call the Center for registration or advice; we will arrange a timeslot
and meeting with an instructor. Payment for lessons is required by the
beginning of each monthly block of lessons. Major credit cards are
accepted for payment.
